Reports
A survey of ERFF members was carried out in February and March 2006 to learn about their approaches to research programme initiation.
This report presents an analysis of the responses to the survey, discusses the findings in the context of current thinking and practice more generally, and makes some recommendations for further initiatives that ERFF might take in this area.
The study was limited to a review of 9 programmes funded by 8 ERFF member organisations. The conclusions are therefore limited and should not be taken to be representative of all programmes funded by ERFF member organisations. However, the report provides some useful information on the approaches taken by ERFF members to research programme initiation. The findings are presented in the context of current thinking and practice.
