In 2006, a review of environmental monitoring in the UK was completed. It comprised a bottom up review of current monitoring activities. Outputs include a report; a database (developed on behalf of the ERFF by ADAS UK Ltd) and a workshop to identify top-down strategic issues affecting monitoring in the UK.
In addition to the final report, a report of the workshop and the slides used at the workshop are available to download.
The findings or the review and workshop were presented to the ERFF Main Board in November 2006. The ERFF Main Board agreed that ERFF should articulate a vision and a high-level plan to define and resolve UK environmental monitoring issues. This has led to the development of the UK-Environmental Observation Framework which will be officially launched in July 2008.
