The future environment - scanning for uncertainty
ERFF's Horizon Scanning work is moving forward with the first in a series of workshops on environmental issues which could impact on the UK's interests over the next 20 years.
Natural England led the workshop on "Changing Ecosystems" which is one of 11 dimensions of uncertainty identified by ERFF and published in a one page leaflet - "The Future Environment".
The workshop was the first step towards defining the kinds of research questions that need answering if the UK is to get to grips with uncertainties affecting our ecosystems and the services they provide. A follow-up will be held in the Autumn.
